Short catheter workshop

  • Raise awareness about complications in the management of the peripheral venous catheter.
  • Raise awareness about the main risk factors for developing phlebitis.
  • Decrease multipuncture in patient care that requires intravenous therapy.
  • Standardize the procedure for installation, maintenance and removal of the peripheral venous catheter.
  • Identify the legal implications of complications in the management of the peripheral venous catheter.
